The MRCOOL DIY 18K BTU 5th Gen Ceiling Cassette Mini Split is a complete 22.5 SEER2 heat pump system that heats and cools spaces up to 800 square feet from a low-profile unit recessed into the ceiling.
The cassette design is the whole point here. Instead of a white box hanging on your wall, the only thing visible in the room is a slim grille overhead, and air washes down across the space instead of blowing at one wall. The kit arrives complete: condenser, ceiling cassette, and a 25-foot pre-charged Quick Connect line set. The refrigerant is already in the lines, so there's no vacuum pump, no gauges, and no special tools or refrigerant certification.

What you should know
A ceiling cassette needs a bit more planning than a wall mount: confirm you have ceiling access and enough depth above the ceiling plane for the cassette body before ordering, and check your joist spacing against the cutout. Like all 230V systems, plan on a dedicated circuit, which most people have an electrician wire.
