This is the indoor unit only. It must be used with a compatible outdoor condenser.
Mr. Cool DIY-24-HP-WMAH-230B is a 24,000 BTU indoor wall unit for use with the new line of Mr. Cool DIY Multi-Zone outdoor compressors only. The 24,000 BTU unit can only be used with the Mr. Cool Quad Zone system. Each indoor unit includes a remote control as well as a SmartHVAC controller for WiFi accessibility. The system can work either on your phone or computer and works with both Amazon Alexa as well as Google Assistant.
Some other features include:
- Follow Me Function - Keep your remote nearby - based on the location of the remote, MRCOOL DIY will track the air temperature around you to ensure you get the maximum comfort
- Dehumidifying operation - not only will it keep you cool, it will remove the humidity level, letting you set the temperature a little higher and still be comfortable
- Auto Restart - Automatically restarts after a power failure
- Louver Position Memory - The horizontal louver will automatically move to the same position it was set to the last time your unit was turned on
- Sleep Mode - Offers you 24 hour comfort even when you sleep. It is easy to program, saving you money and letting you rest easy
As with other Mr. Cool DIY systems, the DIY Multi-Zone indoor units are easy to install and do not require an HVAC installer. On the wall installation is easy and connecting the line sets from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit require only a small hole through the walls and then out to the condenser.
Mr. Cool Pre-Charged Quick Disconnect Line Sets are pre-charged and no vacuuming is required. The line sets are kink resistant and leak proof. They are the only line sets to be used with the Mr. Cool DIY multi-zone and single zone* systems.
The 24,000 BTU unit uses a line set with 3/8 x 5/8 connections and can only be used with the Quad Zone System. (sold separately). The 9,000, 12,000 and 18,000 BTU indoor units use a line set with 1/4" liquid x 1/2" gas connections.
Your Mr. Cool indoor wall unit comes with 25 feet of communication wire pre-attached. This length of wire is appropriate for a single line set (available in 16 or 25 ft lengths).
If you are planning on longer line set lengths, you will need to add a coupler to join the line sets and additional communication wire. MrCool DIY Couplers come with communication wire for an unbroken run from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. Simply disconnect the 25 foot length of wire pre-attached to your indoor unit and replace it with the new wire included with your coupler.
*Mr. Cool DIY single zone systems include a 25 foot line set. If you need a longer length, an additional line set and coupler can be added.
