The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 18,000 BTU system provides efficient year-round heating and cooling for two separate indoor spaces with a 6,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU configuration. With a 23.9 SEER2 rating, DC inverter technology, and an 18,000 BTU outdoor condenser, this system is designed to deliver dependable comfort while maintaining efficient operation.
Designed for convenient DIY installation, the system uses MRCOOL® pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets and an included DIYPRO® cable to simplify installation without traditional electrical conduit. The 6,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler is designed for spaces up to approximately 200 square feet, while the 12,000 BTU air handler provides coverage for spaces up to approximately 550 square feet.
The system features eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant, a Gold Fin® condenser, low ambient cooling, Follow Me® functionality, and smartphone app controls with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. The 18,000 BTU condenser can support up to three indoor units, providing additional flexibility for future expansion. Warranty coverage includes a 5-year parts warranty and a 7-year compressor warranty, with Limited Lifetime Replacement warranty coverage available through the MRCOOL® Care Program.
