The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 18K BTU system provides efficient heating and cooling for two separate indoor spaces with a 6,000 BTU + 6,000 BTU configuration. With a 23.9 SEER2 rating, DC inverter technology, and an 18,000 BTU outdoor condenser, this ductless heat pump system delivers reliable year-round comfort while helping maintain energy-efficient operation.
Designed for convenient DIY installation, the system uses MRCOOL® pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets and an integrated DIYPRO® cable to simplify installation without traditional electrical conduit. Each 6,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler is designed for spaces up to approximately 200 square feet and includes smart controls, Follow Me® functionality, and wireless remote operation for personalized comfort.
The system uses environmentally friendly R-454B refrigerant and features Gold Fin® condenser protection, low ambient cooling, quiet operation, and compatibility with the SmartHVAC app, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. The condenser is also designed to support up to three zones, providing flexibility for future system expansion. Warranty coverage includes a 5-year parts warranty and a 7-year compressor warranty, with additional coverage available through the MRCOOL® Care Program.
