The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 18,000 BTU system provides efficient year-round heating and cooling for two separate indoor spaces with matching 9,000 BTU air handlers. With a 23.9 SEER2 rating, DC inverter technology, and an 18,000 BTU outdoor condenser, this system is designed to provide reliable comfort while maintaining efficient operation.
Designed for convenient DIY installation, the system uses MRCOOL® pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets, allowing the system to be installed without specialized HVAC tools or extensive professional training. Each 9,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler can provide heating and cooling for spaces up to approximately 400 square feet, making the system well suited for two separate rooms.
The system features eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant, a Gold Fin® condenser, Follow Me® temperature sensing, low ambient cooling, and smartphone app controls with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility. The 18,000 BTU condenser can support up to three indoor air handlers, providing flexibility for future expansion. Warranty coverage includes a 5-year parts warranty and 7-year compressor warranty, with Extended Limited Lifetime replacement coverage available through the MRCOOL® Care Program.
