The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 27,000 BTU system delivers efficient heating and cooling across two separate indoor spaces with a 6,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU configuration. With a 23 SEER2 rating and DC inverter technology, this system is designed to provide reliable year-round comfort while adjusting output to match changing temperature demands.
Built for straightforward DIY® installation, the system uses MRCOOL® Quick Connect® technology and pre-charged R-454B line sets to simplify setup. The included 6,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler is suited for spaces up to 200 square feet, while the 12,000 BTU air handler can serve areas up to 550 square feet, making the system a flexible choice for bedrooms, offices, living areas, and other residential spaces.
The system includes smartphone app control, Follow Me® temperature sensing, Gold Fin® condenser protection, quiet operation, low ambient cooling, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With a 5-year parts warranty, 7-year compressor warranty, and optional extended limited lifetime coverage through the MRCOOL® Care Program, the DIY® 5th Generation system is designed for convenient installation and dependable long-term performance.
