The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 27,000 BTU system provides efficient heating and cooling for two separate indoor spaces with a 6,000 BTU + 9,000 BTU configuration. With a 23 SEER2 efficiency rating and DC inverter technology, this system provides precise temperature control while helping maintain efficient year-round operation.
Designed for convenient DIY® installation, the system uses MRCOOL® Quick Connect® technology with pre-charged R-454B line sets. The included 6,000 BTU and 9,000 BTU wall-mounted air handlers are designed for spaces up to approximately 200 and 400 square feet respectively, making this multi-zone configuration well suited for bedrooms, offices, living areas, and other residential spaces requiring independent comfort control.
The system combines inverter-driven performance with smartphone app controls, Follow Me® temperature sensing, Gold Fin® condenser protection, quiet operation, low ambient cooling, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With a 5-year parts warranty, 7-year compressor warranty, and optional extended limited lifetime coverage, the MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation system is designed for convenient installation and dependable long-term performance.
