The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation Multi-Zone 36,000 BTU ductless mini-split system is designed to provide efficient heating and cooling across two separate zones. Featuring two 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air handlers and up to 23 SEER2 efficiency, this system delivers balanced multi-room comfort while allowing each indoor unit to operate independently.
The system combines a 36,000 BTU multi-zone condenser with two 12,000 BTU indoor air handlers, each designed to cover up to approximately 550 square feet. Its DIY® Quick Connect® system uses pre-charged line sets to simplify installation by eliminating the traditional evacuation and refrigerant charging process, making setup more accessible without specialized HVAC tools or training.
Built with energy-efficient DC inverter technology and R-454B refrigerant, the system includes smart controls through the MRCOOL® Smart HVAC Controller® App with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Follow Me®, Low Ambient Cooling, Quiet Mode, Auto Cool, reusable filters, Gold Fin® condenser protection, and lifetime technical support add convenience and dependable performance. The system is ENERGY STAR® and AHRI certified and includes a 5-year parts warranty and 7-year compressor warranty, with an Extended Limited Lifetime warranty available through the MRCOOL® Care Program.
