The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump System delivers efficient year-round comfort across two separate living spaces. This 4-ton configuration pairs 12,000 BTU and 24,000 BTU wall-mounted air handlers with a multi-zone inverter condenser, providing flexible room-by-room temperature control and energy-efficient operation with up to 22 SEER2 efficiency.
Designed for convenient DIY installation, the system uses MRCOOL® pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets with R-454B refrigerant, eliminating the need for traditional refrigerant charging and vacuuming during qualifying installations. SmartHVAC app compatibility, Follow Me® functionality, low ambient cooling, and multiple operating modes provide convenient control and consistent comfort throughout the year.
The system includes a 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler for spaces up to approximately 550 square feet and a 24,000 BTU air handler for spaces up to approximately 1,050 square feet. The 48,000 BTU condenser provides 43,000 BTU cooling and 48,000 BTU heating capacity, with ENERGY STAR® and AHRI certifications, a 5-year parts warranty, and a 7-year compressor warranty.
