The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump System is designed to provide efficient heating and cooling for two separate living spaces. This 4-ton system combines a 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler with a 36,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler and a powerful multi-zone inverter condenser, delivering flexible comfort with up to 21.8 SEER2 efficiency.
Built around MRCOOL® DIY® technology, the system uses pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets with R-454B refrigerant to simplify installation without the traditional evacuation and refrigerant-charging process for qualifying installations. The system also supports SmartHVAC app control, Follow Me® functionality, quiet operation, and multiple operating modes for convenient year-round temperature management.
The 12,000 BTU air handler is designed for spaces up to approximately 550 square feet, while the 36,000 BTU air handler can serve spaces up to approximately 1,550 square feet. With 43,000 BTU cooling capacity, 48,000 BTU heating capacity, ENERGY STAR® and AHRI certifications, a 5-year parts warranty, and a 7-year compressor warranty, this multi-zone system provides a versatile solution for larger residential applications.
