The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU Ductless Mini-Split Heat Pump System is designed to provide efficient year-round heating and cooling across two separate living spaces. With an 18,000 BTU and 24,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler configuration, a 4-ton capacity, and up to 21.8 SEER2 efficiency, this system delivers flexible comfort for larger residential applications.
Built around MRCOOL® DIY® technology, the system uses pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets with R-454B refrigerant to simplify installation for qualifying applications without the traditional evacuation and refrigerant-charging process. The 18,000 BTU air handler can cover up to approximately 800 square feet, while the 24,000 BTU unit can cover up to approximately 1,050 square feet, allowing each zone to be controlled independently.
The system features a DC inverter, Gold Fin® condenser, low ambient cooling, Follow Me® functionality, quiet operation, and SmartHVAC app compatibility with iOS and Android devices. With ENERGY STAR® and AHRI certifications, a 5-year parts warranty, a 7-year compressor warranty, and an extended limited lifetime warranty available through registration, this multi-zone system is designed for dependable long-term performance.
