The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU Ductless Mini-Split System provides powerful heating and cooling for two large spaces with a 24,000 BTU and 36,000 BTU wall-mounted air handler configuration. With a 4-ton capacity and up to 21.8 SEER2 efficiency, this system is designed to deliver efficient year-round comfort while allowing each zone to be controlled independently.
The system combines a high-capacity multi-zone condenser with two wall-mounted air handlers designed for convenient DIY installation. MRCOOL® pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets use R-454B refrigerant and are designed to simplify installation by eliminating the traditional evacuation and charging process when compatible components are used. The 24K air handler provides coverage for spaces up to approximately 1,050 square feet, while the 36K air handler can cover up to approximately 1,550 square feet.
Built with DC inverter technology, Gold Fin® condenser protection, Follow Me® functionality, low ambient cooling, and smartphone app controls, the system provides flexible comfort and convenient operation. It supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa integration and includes ENERGY STAR® and AHRI certification, a 5-year parts warranty, and a 7-year compressor warranty, with extended limited lifetime coverage available through the MRCOOL® Care Program.
