The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU ductless mini-split system provides efficient heating and cooling for two separate indoor spaces with a 6,000 BTU and 24,000 BTU air handler configuration. With 22 SEER2 efficiency, DC inverter technology, and a heat pump design, this system delivers flexible year-round comfort while allowing each zone to be controlled independently.
Designed around MRCOOL® DIY® technology, the system uses pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets to simplify installation without requiring specialized HVAC tools or traditional refrigerant evacuation and charging. The included wall-mounted air handlers provide directional airflow, quiet operation, reusable filtration, and convenient controls through the included remotes and compatible Smart HVAC app.
The system uses environmentally conscious R-454B refrigerant and includes features such as Follow Me®, low ambient cooling, Gold Fin® condenser protection, Wi-Fi and smartphone app compatibility, and support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The 48,000 BTU condenser provides high-capacity operation while the 6,000 BTU and 24,000 BTU indoor units are designed for different room sizes and comfort requirements.
