The MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Gen Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU Ductless Mini Split is designed to deliver independent heating and cooling across three separate spaces. This configuration combines 6,000 BTU, 12,000 BTU, and 36,000 BTU wall-mounted air handlers with a single 48,000 BTU outdoor condenser, providing flexible zone control for different room sizes.
The 6,000 BTU air handler is suited for smaller spaces of up to approximately 200 square feet, while the 12,000 BTU unit can condition up to approximately 550 square feet and the 36,000 BTU unit can cover up to approximately 1,550 square feet. This combination is well suited for properties requiring different capacity levels across bedrooms, offices, living areas, additions, and larger open spaces.
With a 21.8 SEER2 rating, DC inverter technology, R-454B refrigerant, smartphone app controls, Follow Me® functionality, and MRCOOL's pre-charged Quick Connect® technology, the system provides efficient year-round comfort with a simplified DIY installation approach. The 48,000 BTU condenser supports up to six zones, allowing additional flexibility for future system configurations.
