The MRCOOL® Universal® Series 36K DC Inverter Heat Pump System provides efficient year-round heating and cooling for medium to large residential spaces. With a 36,000 BTU capacity, 3-ton configuration, and up to 18.0 SEER2 efficiency, this system is designed to deliver consistent indoor comfort while maintaining efficient operation across a broad range of outdoor temperatures.
The Universal® 36K system combines an inverter-driven heat pump condenser with a versatile multi-position air handler that supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal installation configurations. Its flexible design makes it suitable for installation in areas such as attics, closets, and crawlspaces, while compatibility with MRCOOL® NO-VAC® Quick Connect® line sets provides a convenient connection option for qualifying installations.
The system features an M-shaped all-aluminum coil, electronic expansion valve, and support for optional Universal® Series heat kits in 5, 8, 10, 15, and 20 kW capacities. With ENERGY STAR® V6.1 and Cold Climate certifications, AHRI certification, a 10-year parts warranty, and a 2-year limited labor warranty with licensed professional installation, the 36K Universal® system is designed for dependable long-term performance.
