The Universal® 48K system combines an inverter-driven heat pump condenser with a versatile multi-position air handler that supports upflow, downflow, and horizontal installation configurations. Its flexible design makes it suitable for a variety of installation environments, including attics, closets, and crawlspaces, while compatibility with MRCOOL® NO-VAC® Quick Connect® line sets provides a convenient connection option for qualifying installations.
The system features an M-shaped evaporator coil, electronic expansion valve, and compatibility with optional Universal® Series heat kits for additional heating capacity when required. With Energy Star and Cold Climate certifications, AHRI certification, a 10-year parts warranty, and a 2-year limited labor warranty with licensed professional installation, the 48K Universal® system is engineered for dependable long-term performance.
