The MRCOOL® 2nd Generation Universal® Series 60K Inverter Packaged Heat Pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling solution designed for larger residential spaces. With a 60,000 BTU capacity, 5-ton configuration, and up to 18 SEER2 efficiency, this system delivers dependable year-round comfort while helping reduce energy consumption through variable-speed inverter operation.
The Universal® 60K packaged heat pump uses an inverter-driven rotary compressor that continuously adjusts operation according to heating and cooling demand. This variable-speed design helps maintain more consistent indoor temperatures while reducing frequent cycling, supporting quieter operation and improved energy efficiency. The system operates with R-32 refrigerant and is designed for heating in outdoor temperatures as low as -22°F and cooling in temperatures up to 125°F.
Designed for flexible installation, the packaged unit supports downflow and horizontal applications and features a direct-drive blower with nine available speeds. The system includes an electronic expansion valve and offers optional auxiliary electric heat kits in 6, 9, and 12 kW capacities. A 10-year parts and labor warranty provides additional coverage for long-term ownership.
