What you should know

115V does not mean plug-and-play into any outlet. The unit still calls for a dedicated circuit with a breaker no larger than 25A and 19A minimum circuit ampacity, so check your panel before ordering. The upside is that many homes can add a 115V circuit more easily than a 230V one.

This is 4th Gen equipment on R-410A refrigerant. It is not compatible with 5th Gen (R-454B) line sets or components, so keep any future parts or add-ons within the 4th Gen family. R-410A is being phased down for newly manufactured equipment, but running and servicing an existing system is unaffected and MRCOOL continues to support the platform.

On sizing: 12,000 BTU is the sweet spot for a single decent-sized room. If you are trying to condition an open area past 500 sq ft, or a space with poor insulation, the 18K in this same series is the safer pick.
