What you should know
The Select is MRCOOL's entry-level DIY line, and the biggest trade-off is warranty: 1 year on parts and 2 years on the compressor, against 3 and 5 for Easy Pro and 5 and 7 for the 5th Gen. If you plan to run this system hard for a decade, that difference is worth pricing in before you decide.
Power is a dedicated 208/230V circuit with a breaker no larger than 20 amps and 19A minimum circuit ampacity; bring in an electrician if that circuit does not exist. The condenser weighs about 96 pounds, so plan on two people for placement.
Two accuracy notes: the 24K name is nominal, and the rated capacity is 23,000 BTU each way. The included line set is 11.5 feet, shorter than the 25-foot set the 5th Gen ships with, so measure your run before ordering; the platform supports up to 75 feet with a compatible Select line set.
